South China Tire&Rubber Co., Ltd. ("SCRT") is the first enterprise to introduce technologies and specialize in production of radial tyres (Wanli Brand) in China. The Company covers 0.18 million square meters and now has 2359 employees. With annual production capacity of 4.5 million tyres, the Company is the largest radial tyre production base in South China at present. SCRT introduced production technology from American
Firestone and imported equipment from countries including U.S.A., Japan and Germany according to technological requirements. It keeps ahead in the industry in China in respect of equipment performance and production technology.
SCRT is a manufacturer with the most complete specifications and patterns of radial tyres in China. It produces car tyres of 80-35 series and loading tyres of 10series and over 300 specifications and patterns with and without inner tyres and puts out over 30 new specifications, patterns and varieties to the market each year. It occupies leading position in China in terms of production and R&D ability in China.
Tyres of Wanli Brand have been supplied to a number of famous domestic automobile manufacturers including Yiqi Volkswagen, Yiqi Red Flag, Sanjiang Reynolds, Changfeng Cheetah, Hainan Mazda, Zhengzhou Nissan and Guangzhou Isuzu in succession. 70% of its products are for export and sold to over 90 countries and areas including Europe, America and Australia. The project with annual output of soda ash of 0.2 million tons of Guangdong South Alkali Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is one of key construction projects of Guangzhou during the period of Eighth Five-year Plan. Its designed scale is annual output of soda ash of 0.20 million tons and Glauber's salt of 56,000 tons. Its current annual production capacity is soda ash of 0.28 million tons and Glauber's salt of 70,000 tons. It is one of the top 10 soda ash manufacturers in China. It is the only big/medium-sized soda ash manufacturing enterprise with annual output of 0.2 million tons in the area to the south of the Changjiang River. The company is divided into soda ash factory area and Glauber's salt mining area. Located in Huangpu District in the eastern suburbs ofGuangzhou and covering 0.16 million square meters, the factory area borders on Guangzhou-Shenzhen highway and expressway in the north and Dongjiang River in the south and owns 4 docks for 500 tonners. The transport by land and water is convenient. The mining area is located in Longgui Town in the northern suburbs of Guangzhou. The crude salt for production is transmitted to the factory area through a 46-km-long halogen transmission pipeline. It is the only soda ash manufacturing enterprise adopting ammonia soda process and combining salt and alkali in China. In the appraisal of large enterprises in Guangzhou China in 2003, Guangdong South Alkali Manufacturing Co., Ltd. won the honorary title as one of the top 100 high-tech manufacturing enterprises with strongest competitiveness in Guangzhou China in 2003.
